What is Round Table? Round Table is essentially a social club for men from the ages of 18 to 45. We meet a couple of times a month and usually there's a meal and a beer involved!!! There's a varied programme of activities throughout the year and so a good craic is had by all. Have a look at the syllabus page to see the events we get up to. It is not an exclusive club and this is evident by the members we have!!! It is also forbidden to discuss religion and politics so there's hardly any fighting. We also try and raise money for good causes along the way and many local people and organisations have benefited. We also undertake larger events such as the Carnival and the New Year Fireworks. If you want more info or are interested in joining, please feel free to contact any of our members. They'll tell you all you need to know. GO ON - WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
What's Next?
New Tabler We welcome Kenny Mould as our newest Tabler, who follows a fine family tradition. If he's half the Tabler his dad was, then we're in safe hands. Kenny after his badging The Squad (taken by Mr Mash)
New Committee Willie "Mashie" is in the hot seat once again, with Callum "Bear" taking over as Vice-Chairman. Eddie Mould remains as Honorary President with Iain Macaulay being elected as an Honorary Member. Thanks to Honorary Life Member Duncan Mackinnon for his service as Honorary Treasurer.
Previous Events Car Treasure Hunt - another triumph organised by Mr Turley. Pity he couldn't organise the midges. Well deserved winning team comprised of John Murdo, Fraser & Terry. Clay Pigeon - good night started with Fraser's badging. Click here for photos. We were joined by Paul Duke once again and by Tim, Chris & dodgy Keith from the fireworks company (only joking Keith). John Murdo stole the show once again closely followed by the Laird!!!
Meetings to be held on one Thursday and one Saturday of each month, unless otherwise noted. 7.30 for 8.00 at the Cabarfeidh Hotel, Stornoway. Apologies, visitors and guests must be intimated to the Secretary before 12 noon on the day of the meeting. Secretary: Terry Mackenzie Stornoway & District Round Table
